In a press release today, Microsoft announced it will ship Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5 this month.

This is a truly remarkable landmark release.  My favorite new features include:

  1. LINQ
  2. WPF designer support built into the IDE
  3. Target .NET 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5 all from the same IDE

  1. Just in time for our new project.
I just hope I’ll be able to get ASP.NET working, because when I installed the BETA on our Windows Server it messed everything up.
